Glycinate and Magnesium Gluconate are magnesium salts of organic acids and magnesium, all of which can provide magnesium for diets. Magnesium glycine is composed of common metal magnesium and basic amino acid glycine. Magnesium gluconate is composed of magnesium and gluconic acid (a biochemical).
